Privacy Notice

How SEED CONNECT uses and protects your information.

Pilot Version — August 2026

SEED CONNECT respects your privacy. This notice explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who may see it, and the choices you have about your information.

Information You Choose to Share

When you use SEED CONNECT, you may provide information such as:

  • Your name and profile photo
  • Your interests and activities you enjoy
  • Things you would like to try
  • How you prefer to communicate
  • What helps you have a good experience
  • Things or situations you prefer to avoid
  • Your availability
  • Information used to help you connect with a Community Partner or Member
  • Information about SEED CONNECT Experiences
  • Reflections you choose to complete
  • Concerns you choose to report

Community Partners may also provide information related to their experience, availability, screening, training, and participation in the program.

Why SEED CONNECT Uses This Information

We use your information to operate the SEED CONNECT pilot, including to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Help Members find eligible Community Partners
  • Support mutual matching
  • Plan and manage Experiences
  • Keep track of participation
  • Improve accessibility and your experience using the program
  • Respond to questions or concerns
  • Support safety and program operations
  • Understand how well the pilot is working

We do not use disability information to automatically decide who you should match with.

What Other Participants Can See

SEED CONNECT does not automatically show another participant everything you tell us.

Before a connection is accepted, Members only see the limited Community Partner information approved for the matching process.

After both people accept a connection, additional information may be shared when it is helpful for participating safely and successfully.

SEED CONNECT does not display your personal email address, phone number, home address, private reflections, screening records, administrative notes, or concern reports to other participants.

Your Profile and Accessibility Preferences

You decide what you want to include in your participant profile.

SEED CONNECT may ask about things that help you communicate, participate, or have a good experience.

You do not need to provide a diagnosis simply to explain what support or accessibility works best for you.

For example, someone may choose to share that they prefer quieter places, need step-free access, like knowing plans ahead of time, or communicate better in certain ways.

Reflections

After an Experience, you may be invited to complete a reflection.

Reflections are intended to help you think about your experience and help SEED CONNECT operate the pilot.

Your private reflection is not shown to the other participant as a rating or review.

Pilot reflections are not research consent and are not automatically part of a research study.

Reporting a Concern

If you submit a concern, other Members and Community Partners cannot see your concern report.

Authorized SEED CONNECT administrators may review the report so they can understand what happened and decide what follow-up may be appropriate.

Submitting a concern does not automatically punish, suspend, or remove another participant.

If there is an immediate danger, medical emergency, or urgent safety emergency, contact 911 or your local emergency service instead of relying on SEED CONNECT.

Community Partner Screening

Community Partner screening information is used to determine whether a person is eligible to participate as a Community Partner.

Members do not receive background-check reports, identity-verification documents, reference information, administrative screening notes, or other private screening records.

Members may be told whether a Community Partner is currently eligible to participate.

Family Members and Other Supporters

SEED CONNECT works with adults.

A family member, supporter, or other person does not automatically have access to a Member's private information simply because they help the Member or help pay for an activity.

Information may be shared when the Member has authorized it or when SEED CONNECT is otherwise required or permitted to share information for safety or legal reasons.

Information SEED CONNECT Does Not Need From You

Please avoid putting unnecessary highly sensitive information into profile fields, reflections, or other open-text areas.

SEED CONNECT Community Partners are not therapists, medical providers, caregivers, or financial managers.

The program is not intended to store detailed medical records or provide medical treatment.

How Information Is Protected

SEED CONNECT limits access to participant information based on a person's role and what they need in order to use or operate the program.

Participants should not share another person's private information outside the program without permission.

No online system can guarantee absolute security, but SEED CONNECT takes reasonable steps to limit unnecessary access and protect participant information.

Keeping Information

Some information may need to be kept for program operations, safety, financial, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.

For example, certain records involving:

  • Safety concerns
  • Pilot Rules acknowledgments
  • Community Partner screening
  • Completed Experiences
  • Participation history

may need to be retained even after someone stops participating.

We may remove or limit identifying information when appropriate rather than automatically deleting every record.

Asking About, Correcting, or Requesting Deletion of Your Information

You may contact SEED CONNECT if you want to:

  • Ask what information we have about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Update your profile
  • Stop participating in SEED CONNECT
  • Ask us to delete information
  • Ask how information is being retained

Some information may need to be retained when required for safety, legal, financial, or program-record purposes.

We will explain when information cannot be immediately deleted.

We Do Not Sell Participant Information

SEED CONNECT does not sell Member or Community Partner personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Changes to This Notice

SEED CONNECT may update this Privacy Notice as the pilot develops.

If an important change affects how participant information is collected, used, or shared, participants will be informed.
